AUDIO AT ITS PUREST, FREE OF WIRES

Great-sounding audio shouldn’t require inconvenient cables. Now it doesn’t. A collaboration between Drop and THX, Panda is the first headphone to deliver an audiophile listening experience free of wires. To achieve this groundbreaking full-system sound, we created a new standard for wireless audio: the 3P Signal Path.

This technology is a combination of three key elements: a high-bandwidth Bluetooth audio codec, a zero-distortion THX AAA amplifier, and phase-correct planar-ribbon drivers. The result? The world’s lowest levels of distortion in a wireless headphones, delivering audio in its purest form. And that’s not all—Panda also comes equipped with 30-hour battery life, two built-in microphones, and an intuitive control system for adjustments on the go.

THE THX AAA DIFFERENCE

Panda is the world’s first headphone with THX AAA technology. Using patented feed-forward error-correction topology, this technology reduces harmonic, intermodulation, and crossover distortions by 20 to 100 times—currently the world’s lowest levels of distortion.

And no matter how loud you listen, the THX AAA amplifier can drive Panda to comfortable listening volumes, with headroom to spare.

30+ HOUR BATTERY LIFE

Nobody wants to run out of power on the go. Exceeding the battery life of most major ANC headsets, Panda reaches a full charge in 2 hours and offers around 3 hours of battery with a mere 10-minute quick charge via USB-C.

3P SIGNAL PATH

Equipped with 3P Signal Path, Drop’s unique combination of THX AAA amplifier, planar-ribbon drivers, and a high-bandwidth Bluetooth audio codec, Panda sets a new standard for sound on the go.

SEAMLESS ON-THE-GO CONTROLS

A built-in directional button can be moved up, down, left, right, and depressed to quickly adjust volume, skip tracks, and control calls.

BLUETOOTH 5.0

Backed by the latest Bluetooth 5.0 QCC5124 chipset, Panda offers support for LDAC, aptX, aptX HD, aptX adaptive, AAC, and SBC codecs.

THE POWER OF PLANAR-RIBBON DRIVERS

Promising high-fidelity audio that’s better than conventional headphones, planar-ribbon drivers are on the rise. What makes them so special? They feature a series of evenly spaced magnets on both sides of the diaphragm that act on a flat plane—hence the name “planar”—which results in carefully tuned phase-correct sound.

Thanks to the evenly suspended diaphragm material between permanent magnetic fields, planar-ribbon drivers are extremely resistant to distortion. They’re also super responsive and have a hyper-realistic sound signature that you’ll notice straight away.

ALL-DAY COMFORT, ALL-WEEK BATTERY

It’s not only sound that sets Panda apart. Boasting a 30-hour power reserve, Panda exceeds the battery life of most major ANC headsets. A full charge takes just 2 hours—with around 3 hours of power on a 10-minute quick charge. Backed by the latest Bluetooth 5.0 QCC5124 chipset, Panda supports LDAC, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, AAC, and SBC codecs.

If you need to take a call, the headphones feature two built-in mics compatible with the latest voice assistants. Courtesy of the closed-back design, Panda offers strong passive acoustic isolation—and no digital signal processing to hide a poor acoustic design or muddy the sounds the creators intended.

Finished with plush foam earpads wrapped in breathable protein leather, Panda weighs just 375 grams, making it easy to take on the go.

ABOUT THX

You may know THX from the goosebump-inducing “Deep Note” played before many blockbuster films, but the company has been associated with high-performance audio since its founding by legendary filmmaker George Lucas in 1983. The THX system isn’t a recording technology, but a certification. For any theater, product, or work to become THX certified requires a rigorous set of criteria. If these qualifications are met, the resulting sound is as close to what the mixing engineer intended as possible. From home-theater systems and headphones to gaming consoles and productions on the silver screen, THX is committed to delivering the most immersive audio experience achievable.

It is the best sounding wireless headphones. Because of that alone I will keep them, and I’m looking forward to the app/firmware updates coming later this month. The one thing I find annoying is the loud startup and power off sound. As well as a few seconds after I stop playing a sound there’s a loud pop. Supposedly with the upcoming update we should be able to adjust how soon this pop happens, which happens when something in the headphone turns off when nothing is playing. Also even though it doesn’t have active noise cancelling I find the headphones very good at blocking outside sounds just by the fit around the ear.

One of best parts about these headphones is the how wired they sound exactly the same, I use mine as a mic for my xbox. I Just plug it in straight through the controller using a boom mic attachment and even only being powered by the controller the can get extremely loud.

The sound quality is exceptional. The soundstage is much broader than other reviewers led me to believe. Well mastered audio displays full dimension through these. My only complaint so far: when there is no audio playing, there is the tiniest noise coming from interference on the bluetooth channel. If you’re playing anything at a reasonable volume, the noise is effectively gone.I only received these a couple of hours ago, so I expect to try more scenarios over the next few days.

All the wonderful characteristics of late, lamented Oppo 3 are here only with high resolution Bluetooth.

When I first heard about the THX Drop Panda, I was skeptical at all the hype surrounding the device. No noise canceling, no ambient sound, no extra bells or whistles? What were they thinking? Fast-forward about a year and I finally pulled the trigger when it “dropped” to lower price. I’m glad I did. These are by far the overall best headphones I have, and I have a few.The Drop Panda are made of a hard plastic so they are light and durable. The ear cups do a good job of completely covering your ears, so sound leaks are minimal. That goes both ways as outside noise is also kept to a minimum. It doesn’t have active noise canceling but it doesna great job of keep unwanted noise at bay. They are comfortable enough that wear fatigue is an issue for me.As for the audio, what it comes down to is the lack of any pre-installed equalizer. You are free to adjust the headphones as you see fit without having to fight with the out of box pre-adjusted sound signature. There is an app that scans how you hear and adjust the sound to your unique style. It then uploads your personal sound to the headphones for use on any audio device. It’s amazing. Whether it be a tablet, a phone, a stereo system, the headphones will sound the same across the board. No need to adjust it per device. The $400+ price point is a bit high in my opinion but if you can find them for $300 or less, they are wll worth it

I had a perfectly good pair of bose qc35 but i really wanted the best sounding headphone possible and i won’t sacrifice bluetooth. these really do sound incredible, you can really tell the difference with certain songs. people exaggerate the discomfort. i’m coming from qc35, probably the most comfortable headphones, and i can wear these pandas for a few hours and take a 10-15 minute break and just keep going. only thing is i would like the ear cups to be a bit deeper, but i like the clamping force. i would recommend listening to music from the 70s 60s and 50s to really see the different in sound quality to other bluetooth headphones, some songs are kinda crazy.

Been using these for watching TV on my LG CX OLED, as well as listening to music and podcasts on my iPhone. The sound quality is fantastic, and I haven’t had any dropouts while watching movies! I honestly can’t tell a difference between wired headphones to my TV and these, nor can I tell a noticeable difference between these (closed back) and my previous headphones I used with my TV (open backed). These headphones are slightly heavy (probably due to the battery, amp, etc.) but nothing bad (I don’t have any major comfort complaints after a 3 hour movie). These come with a USB C charging cable (no charging brick) and 3.5mm cable for listening wired (haven’t tried this yet). Finally, the battery life seems to live up to the promise of 30 hours from my experience. I’m very impressed with that!

Sounds better than any wireless headphones most people would own. If you are thinking of getting into the audiophile community with wireless headphones. This is hard to beat.

These headphones are by far the best sounding headphones you can get. The sound amazing I could not recommend it more. From someone who came from the Sony xm3 I cannot see myself ever going back.
